Any key upgrades, spares or parts required for the BMAX2 for racing on astro? (I haven't ordered anything yet)
Winter I'll be racing at TORCH and Silverstone. Looking at one of these or a Centro C4.2 |

Only think I've had issues with we're the idlers. Metal ones should resolve that. Great all-round car. Some good bits available now too.

Some front C hubs are a useful spare if you are inclined to hit things hard, apart from that the kit parts are solid. as long as you adjust your slipper properly and dont have it too tight the kit idlers are more than fine.

Go for Alu idle gears. That's it actually. Haven't broke a thing yet. Have to say I upgraded to Alu rear hubs.

I had a huge whack today as a car bobbled onto the straight.. For sure I thought a heap would be broken but only a arm, pretty happy that something actually broke besides the gear insides or idle gears.
Its one tough buggy. |

I'm having trouble with the gear diff I just bought. Can you guys tell me how you built yours?
From the beginnning, the original o-rings didn't allow the outdrives to rotate freely so I changed them out for Kyosho P5 orings that made things much better. I reassmbled the diff per the instructions and filled it with 2000wt but it feels very "geary". I'm thinking it's from the second smaller washer shim behind the bevel gears. Is everyone running with both washer shims behind the gears or just the larger one? |

I can't remember how I built mine but if you have the metal gears they willl probably need a little bit of running in. That should go away after a couple of packs
