Default self adhesive velcro

Hi guys, can anyone please recomend a good brand of self adhesive velcro, one that actually sticks on my shells for more than 10 minutes, it is rather annoying when your shell flys of when running, I am using some i picked up from tesco. Also please tell where it can be bought from, many thanks in advance.

I just picked some up in b&q. Says its water proof and heavy duty. Although, its possibly not that heavy duty.

Velcro as a company is a victim of its own success, as the product is known as Velcro - even when it is copied by another company...... but Velcro branded Velcro is the best certainly. I get it from Halfords & Hobby Craft.

Major factors on it sticking is firstly how clean is the surface it is applied to, and secondly the paint on the shell. Back the shell with something which sticks to it well - Shoo-Goo, and then put the Velcro on that.

If putting velcro on chassis edges and so the velcro is narrow - I seal the edges with super glue.

put some superglue onto the velcro adhesive to keep it honest. I have never had mine come off with this method.

Default Velcro

Like Neil said put the velcro in place on the body then run a little tire glue right around it to strengthen it
