Default Aparently Im not the only one...nice cars!

511 body and wing stuff on my 501x Worlds Edition

I highly reccomend it!

The old 501x body looks cool and futuristic and stuff, but
the 511 body looks better and more like a B44 style body.

I dont have the shocks on it because I drained them out and cleaned them for storage, as the car
is gonna sit in the box until indoor 'high traction clay' season starts back up again.

I have a feeling my car will drive better than it did.
Hopefully I can get an extra lap or two...

I remember when the 501x was first released. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I hadn't raced at club level in many years but once I bolted in a 5.5 turn I headed for my closest race track to join in on the fun.
It was a real learning experience for me and a whole lot of fun.
Anyway here are some of the paint jobs Ive been responsible for. The Azarashi body is my last and current lid and in my opinion the best lid you'll find for the Tamiya.

Wow! nice paint jobs!
What I like about the 501x is it's optimized for nimh cells.
The 511 is better suited for Lipo thats the only difference I see between them.
The 511 they made a little bit different shifted the cells forward that kinda thing.
I put a B44 battery tray with the thumb screws in my worlds edition 501x.
It fit perfectly, I was surprized. That is what look I wanted for my 501x,
and the 511 body fits on my car perfectly the
thumb screws have about an inch before they touch the body, so
I still have plenty of room in my car. Now to get it on the track this
winter and i'll surely give you guys some insight.

Just wondering if the 511 bodyshell is the black and yellow one you have painted there? It looks like a D4 shell.
