I am about to take my Savox apart as I have not heard back, can anyone suggest a good soldering tool for doing things like this?

savox servos are relatively easy to replace leads on if you have the right iron and reasonable soldering skills. you need an electronics iron with a needle tip something around 10w-15w anything more will burn the wires and damage the pcb maplin have an antex 15w at sensible money thats perfect for jobs like this

savox are one of the worst buddy if its the type where it tucks in under the p.c.b.....you need to un-solder the motor connectors, pot legs and remove the p.c.b then replace the wires from the other side of it, if its the type where the 3 wires are soldered to the back of the board then its straight forward if you are half good with a soldering iron
