ESC Exceed Vs SP Cirtix
Hi, just getting back into this and finally deciding what I need to get. Out of these 2 ESC / Motor combo's which would you recommend for club racing 2WD off road.
The Fusion Exceed Race Speed Controller with 10.5T sensored Motor Combo ( and optional set up card ) http://www.racing-cars.com/sp/catego...tor_Combo.html Or The Speed Passion Cirtix ESC Combo 10.5T Ultra Sportsman V2.0 http://www.logicrc.com/?ItemId=M-FS-...:50-30,c:60-34 They're cheap which is why I'm going for them. The Fusion Exceed goes up to an 8.5 if I want to progress later on where as the Speed Passion only goes up to a 9.5 so lack of forward capabilty. I'd love something much better but money is holding me back along with a lot of them seeming to need PC's to program them and I use Apple Macs I've not raced for years and think the 10.5 will be fine to get going with. Thanks |

I can't comment on the speed passion you refer to as i've never owned one. I do own a Fusion Exceed 10.5 though and can't say a bad thing about it. The motor and esc have never gone above 120F and average about 105F after 10-15 mins of heavy use. My car has a transmission ratio of 2.6:1, and I use a 31/80 pinion and spur taking my car to around 40-45mph and there's scope to gear higher with my temperatures.
Superb bit of kit with some excellent programming options. With the optional programmer you can also check your top speed, average speed, max temperature, current temp', and numerous other things. Love mine.
