Default Some old shells I painted

These are from ages ago, the creme egg is from about 10 years ago, they're all quick rush jobs, it's something I'm going to get back into doing but only for me. I'll post my work up as and when I get it done, don't hold your breath though

Let me know what you think guys, some real beautiful work on here. I've been a custom painter for over 10 years and I can work out how to do anything on a crash helmet but this is all backwards to me, the stuff you lot are doing blows me away. It's nice to find a forum with a good section that allows people to post their paintwork. I've just spent a few days trawling through almost all of the pages on here ( about 42 I think ) possible eye strain now... must rest. Oh, almost forgot, all paint, no stickers.

I'll dig some out later and put them up. Helmets have a safety factor though and doing them at home without having training is tricky. I used to have liability insurance and also had training from all the major manufacturers. If it's just something for yourself though that's okay.

Yet... lol... that will be a word that comes back to bite you on the ass I'm sure, I'd never recommend anyone try to do it for a career, keep it as a hobby you'll enjoy it more. If you want any help give me shout !

Thank you isobarik !

I just did if for a mate, and as it was a proper shell design I googled what colours it had been painted in and put this together. I painted all the sponsors I could manage but there were plenty more I had to miss because they were too small for my cutter to do.

Nice work, espcially that flag on the bonnet, that looks fantastic the way it pops.

Ta It was a bit daunting doing that Corvette bonnet. It was MASSIVE compared to the crash helmets I'd been working on, was really good to work that size though, no silly little fine details just big area's to make look realistic !
