Default Wheels and other additional parts

I've got an X4 pro and wondered what wheels would fit on it. Now I know I could put on ansmann wheels but wondered what other manufacturers wheels would be a direct fit too.

Also any ideas on any other parts from other cars, I'd shocks etc from other manufacturers?

i use pin type wheels like B4, as i have an X6 and didn't want masses of different wheels. just fitted some washers behind the axle pin to space it out..

On the 2Wd we can putt the kyosho wheels, i thinks it's possible on the 4Wd too.
But i use just the Ansmann one, there are very good and not too expensive.

The kit wheels are best for the correct offset however Hotbodies and Kyosho wheels fit and are the same or very similar offset.

most shocks will fit however the kit ones are pretty awesome, not any other parts I'm aware of that will fit the X4

+ 1 on those shocks you have because I built them

Regards to wheels on the x4 pro it comes with the driveshafts that are designed to take associated type wheels as dave uses. If you buy the mad rat /x2/x2-c wheels you will have to drill out the holes to fit them over the axles. This is the same with Kyosho wheels.

Oh and steer clear of fastrax spoke wheels as they break quite easily as Mr Petch found out. Plus the offset is huge.

Only when dropped from a height by a marshall!

They do have a large offset but are ok for club nights (car is quite stable with them). I believe fastrax do some dish wheels with the same offset as the Ansmann wheels.

How are you finding the car by the way?

Well the cars been great but.....

Got a esc and 6.5t brushless motor off here which seemed good, got it all in and took it racing last Tuesday as it worked great down my road. Was going to go for a few practice laps but it was going nowhere. Found out my 40mhz am radio gear was crapola. Ordered a code 2.4ghz set and that worked perfect. Took it racing on Sunday and on every race it cut out after 3.5 mins, I was leading some races too. Anyway last night checked setting on the esc and they seemed ok, only thing I could think that it was overheating. Took it apart and found loads of grit on the heat transfer pad between the transducers and the heatsink which was stopping the transfer of heat. Cleaned it up and put some thermal paste over it and put it back together. So far it looks good but will have to give it a full 5 mins blast to make sure. The car itself is great and it turns out I can still race ok even after 20+ years woohoo!

Those Code radios are really good value - I know quite a few guys at my club who swear by them. Well done on leading the races - If I ever lead I normally loose it after 2 laps due to getting cocky!

What pinion gear are you running with the 6.5?
