For almost a year now the X - 6 chassies have been machined so that almost nobody has to grind to fit the servo. The instructions still tell how to do it, but it's usually not an issue.

I know the X6 is made from the parts of a B4.
I wonder if it is possible to use an Asso B3 as the base for an X6. I don't think so, so searched this forum for some answers but could not find it yet. Can someone confirm this? It's just that the X6 is an expensive car, if you need to buy a B4 first and then the mod-kit. ... + you have all kind of parts of the B4, you can not use anymore, which is a stupid waste. So i'm looking for some possible alternatifs |

Yes but as the X-6 is as popular as the B4 nowadays, everyone has these parts for sale => low price => perfect moment to convert the X-6 back to the B4

No.
Besides, the B4 is not an expensive kit.

shims required?
i'm building the x6 for the very first time. i've actually got an x6^2 kit. when building the rear (control arm), i noticed that there's a very big gap when the arm is placed between the bushing and the rear toe-in plate.
the copper bushing is around 6mm in length, i don't think there's any issue there. am i supposed to use spacers to fill up this gap (measured to be 2mm)? the only spacers in the C bag are the anti-squat spacers. pls see pic below. looking at the pic from redrc, there are thick spacers (white teflon) in front and behind the arms. |

Its like that so you can adjust the wheel base back and forth i used the spacers that came my old b4 to fill the the gap but it depends on if you want to long medium or short wheel base.

OK. understand now. this is another wheelbase adjustment apart from the hub carrier/control arm adjustment.
thanks. |
