adjusting the track to reduce number of breakages.
I was just wondering if we could have a vote on whether to keep the piece of track that juts out after the ramp, (the mardave chicane) I think we should remove it as there as been many crashes on this part of the track e.g. Steve Flanagan destroyed his front end on it last week, also removing it there would be another overtaking spot after the ramp.

Surely it's there with the tarpaulin sheet as part of the track.
Can you get the same level of grip on the tarpaulin with foams than pins? Out of all the breakages last Friday night most of them (including my own) came from-poor driving/other peoples poor driving/going to fast/wrong line/or just plain unlucky. Good job we have small jumps. Peter

The kink after the table top did catch alot of cars out last week. Intrestingly when we built the track that section was opened up to help prevent this. The thing is everyone is trying to go flat out through that section as there is time to be made, but get it wrong and the consequences are there.
I think what we need to do is ensure the flexible section is one of the less worn ones which will prevent cars hitting the wooden blocks inside (Hope that makes sense). I think the tarpaulin is having minimal effect on the cars as it seems you can blast off the table top so the acceleration loads are done before the tarpaulin section. Cant wait for tonight. Get in!!!!!!!

How about some traffic lights and a pelican crossing?
We already have a one way system.

Right Lee I see what you mean. If we had a larger jump it would increase the need for cars to be marshalled but if it was moved to the edge it would be easier to get to. Lets try Matts idea tonight and see how it goes.
Not down tonight still at work till 9pm. Peter
