Well said Scotty, another great day, well done to Big Chris and the Ayr club for a fantastic track, and congrats to Kenny and John for their respective wins. Looking forward to next time. My result was better than expected, qualified 6th in the 2WD and 7th in the 4WD.

Had a great day racing indoors for the first time in about 20 years! Big thanks to Chris and the Ayr club for a great event.
And a fantastic turnout as well, can only be good for Scottish RC.

Great meeting with really good numbers. Well done and thanks to Chris and the Ayr club. Only wish my driving was better, or the wall at the end of the straight was made from sponge instead of brick. Jamie thoroughly enjoyed himself and was well chuffed with his 2nd place trophy. He had been coveting that buggy kit junior prize all day. He was ecstatic when his name was pulled from the hat. Thanks to Muchmore for sponsoring it, nice touch. Roll on 2012.

Thanks to Chris, Joss and the Ayr club for holding and running this great meeting. It was my first big off-road meeting indoors for years and years.
Hopefully more of these meetings can be organized next year given the turn out to this one and off-road in Scotland will start a real come back

Regards, George

I will echo whats already been said, a great day and credit to Chris and his team for organising the day, and also making the effort on Saturday for the Aberdeen bunch "from the stix"

I ran 2wd and it started out expensive with my cheapy core radio shutting down in practice resulting in an end of the straight interface. I lost confidence in the equipment so George kindly sold me new Sanwa radio kit to replace it. So with no practice and my first proper race meet for 17 years I was a little apprehensive.

Pleased with a 5th on the grid for the A and finished 4th overall after the two leg finals with countback going in Dave "discothesnake"s favour as he outqualified me so he took 3rd. So close to a trophy I was gutted

Some really good close racing going on though and felt good to be back.

Roll on 2012.

Thanks for organising, Chris and co. Was my first time participating in such a large event and felt good to be part of it.

I'll echo that comment! The 'Wall of Justice' ate my chassis... fortunately Dave was able to loan me a spare so I could make the finals after some frantic spannering. Thanks, Dave

Is there a link to results and photos online?

What can I say that hasnt already been said.

Top meeting. Top folk. Top racing. Even managed to scrape into the A final and mix it with the big 'uns. Hopefully there will be more of that to come during next years SORC.

Lessons Learned?
Do not have "a few sherbets" the night before and do not use large walls as track boundary.

It was already assembled Stevie, first thing he did when we got back. However, he wants to trade it for a new unpainted shell and new wheels (must be yellow) and tyres for his B4. If santa brings him a 4wd buggy he wants matching shells on both cars! He also thought that if Santa knew he had just got a new buggy he might not give him a 4wd, so check the for sale section.
