Default 2 builds

So i have been back with RC as a hobby for 2 months now after a 20 year gap and have found my self with 2 builds .
1 Slash 4x4 with a Shining star chassis (LCG)
2 Tekno sct410.3
I am going to keep the Tekno stock and for racing and use the slash for practice and set up changes. Firstly the Slash electrics will be swopped between both until i get round to purchasing some good racing electrics . I am looking forward to seeing the difference between the stock slash , LCG and the Tekno .
I plan to keep the slash as a back up racer incase i break the Tekno on race day .
Looking forward to next years UK Nationals .

I would love to get a round in this year , but a family holiday to Thailand is in September and then work commitments. I am gutted as i would love to go Silverstone to get a feel and see what i need to work on race craft wise over the winter . Hopefully Team Kirks feature in the mag will get a few more interested and more clubs will run classes ?

The Slash is stripped and cleaned up, Got the rear clip and tranny in , Front clip to go, when i get some bell crank bearings ?(might get a new bell crank) The LCG Shining Star Chassis is one cool piece of engineering.
The Tekno arrived last week and i got it out(in front of the wife today)The Team sponsor(wife) is not happy ??? Any way when the Slash is up and running i will start the Tekno build .
It is very exciting at BIG TREV Racing right now - even got a paint scheme planned .Happy bashing and racing peeps !

Ordered a MTB cycle specific frame protector kit for the SSC , Its clear about 1mm thick and can be cut to shape .The SSC chassis is serious Mechanical engineering porn, so do not want to scratch it . It will repel stones and debris as well as a bit of cushion if i case a jump! Also will enclose the spur gear that is open in the chassis cut out .

Ok so front clip on took a couple of goes after not reading destructions properly, done now .The play that was present is all but gone at the back (titanium hinges kit) and probably down by 80% at front (considering a rose joint set up at front for camber but maybe not for steering?) Car is showing 742g rear right 722 rear left , 711 Front right and 692 front left so a bit of damper tuning and or shock oil compensation will be felted with .

I will post some pictures next week after i strip down and rebuild with thread lock after the dummy build /reccy build .Very interesting build as it leaves out covers and simplifies the drive train. Big thanks to Mark at Shining Star Chassis ,who has been keyboard side throughout the purchase and build . The cherry on the cake was no extra cost for shipping to UK from US .Diamond geezer Mark
