Default Help with Novak GTB esc

Hi

I've got the following problems.

1. The motor runs only if the car is pushed gently to get it started, or sometimes if the rotor is in the right place it will start without the push. I have put in a new motor with cable and it's still the same, so it's definitely the esc.

2. I realised today that the ESC is taking battery power and getting warm even when switched off. Even if motor switch, fan, and receiver removed. Connect the battery and it starts warming up.

Any suggestions as to what's wrong with it. I took it apart and looked inside. Everything looks perfect, no sign of burn out circuits or anything. Has anyone ever made use of non- warranty Novak repairs? Any advice appreciated, Thanks.

If that's the case, then I guess it's had it then? Anyone in the UK tried the Novak non-warranty trade in scheme?

Yep - Very good and easy too. All my stuff has gone back through that scheme. Only wish they would accept trades for the Kinetic. Looks like a dig into the deep pockets instead.......

Hey Benh tell me more. How do I do this from the UK. Doesn't it cost $50 postage, making it hardly worthwhile
