Thumbs up DEX210 RDRP front brass bulkhead

Well I've tried the above and all I can say is wow!

I race on a multi surface indoor track and I was struggling with getting the front end to bite on change of direction. I could carry a lot of turn in but switching direction the front end would wash out.

I didn't realize that it was 65g so I thought it would be too much but I was wrong it changes direction so much better and you can carry extra corner speed without the front end pushing on. I've also got a smaller spur to move the motor back slightly to help traction and that worked a treat.

The car feels very direct so I only have to adjust my driving slightly from my 410. To be honest the 210 now behaves very much like a 4wd to drive.

Anyone that's wanting to upgrade their 210 I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Noel at Cream has been making his version in brass and a lighter ali one for months now along with battery blocks, rear toe, under servo weight etc RDRP seem to be a little late to the party but I'm sure its still good.

The full range of RDRP stuff for the DEX210 has indeed proved very popular since its release a few months back now, the range is growing constantly and all items as ever will offer exceptioanl quality in terms of design and materials used whether it is brass, alloy or carbon fiber. They are widely available through a large selection of outlets and through any dealer listed on our X-Factory UK website, stay tuned for more new parts from them very soon......

Front:-

35wt / 6 x 1.3mm hole piston
Center shock tower hole
Inner wishbone hole
Inner shock tower camber link hole
1mm shim under the ball stud
+5 deg castor
Centre steering plate hole
1 deg toe in
1.5deg camber

Rear:-

27.5wt / 6 x 1.5mm hole piston
Center shock tower and wishbone hole
3 deg antisquat
+1 hub insert (so running 4 deg on total)
1mm under camber link ballstud
Medium wheel base
2 deg camber

It seems a good base setup for me but I like a lot of steering.

+1 for Noel's (Cream) bulkheads and I agree it's good to see that others also emulate the leaders. After all, copying is a form of adulation. Let's hope the copiers go on to innovate, but I won't hold my breath.

Indeed RDRP too were surprised by how many copies of their ideas made it into production elsewhere, but that is the best form of flattery I guess and if a product is good lots of companies will want to make it....

The first RDRP samples for the DEX210 were shown off late 2011 (when they built their little "RDRP Robot" out of all the pieces bolted together) as the final touches to the company was being assembled and put together, maybe they should not have shown so much off so early, since come April/May this year, similiar bits were sprouting up everywhere all over the world....

I don't think RDRP or anyone else for that matter have made anything that wasn't on the car originally, Other than change materials to add weight, strength or both.
You pay your money you make your choice, much like the front tower/mounts I made, now being made by others, can't say I was happy at the time, but such is life.

Noel is quite right (on most points) and it is never nice when your ideas get copied, its never good but happens all the time sadly.

RDRP for info have done many items not found on the car, like the rear weight as an example, but to be fair to them it will always be hard for Michael to design "all new looking" bits for the car since it was he who designed the car itself in the first place, so in effect he also designed the optional parts I guess (since they look the same but in alternative materials)...

Hi Toby,

Here is a link to the RDRP facebook page where they were first showed off (along with all the other parts) back in January.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/REVOLU...2913017&type=1

Part numbers are RDRP0107 (mid motor versions) and RDRP0108 (rear motor version), but price is still to be confirmed at present sadly.

We do have pricing now on most of the parts in the range, all we are waiting on are the spur gears, titanium shock mount posts and titianium front wheel axles.....
