Default B3, B4 wheels

Hi guys, is there any difference between the wheels used on the old B3 and the B4? offset, size, fitment ect.

I've just started racing again after many years out of the loop and dusted off my old B3.
Now I'm looking at getting an X6 squared and need to know if the vast amount of wheels and tyres I have will fit it.

Thanks.

Hey,

I think (not sure) that the rear wheels of a B3 will fit. I know the fronts will fit.

But B3 wheel on a B4 will leave the car too wide to be legal to race.

The B3 rear-wheels have a bigger off-set, so make it wider and does't fit the box. The front wheels will fit.

I thought they all fitted, but were all the wrong offset!
Either way, the rubber on the old tyres will likely have perished so won't provide constant grip/feel anyway.

Cheers guys.

The tyres on the car had perished really baddly but all the spare ones kept in boxes were absolutely fine. However I have fitted new tyres to some wheels also. Had some new "12 year old" yellow mini's and there was no difference between brand new ones

Looks like i'll need new rims though . Notice Proline dished rims for the B4 are cheeper - but are these as good as the AE ones?

Thanks Kev, thing is I'm about to buy a new X6 and was wondering how many sets of rims I need to add to the order. Unfortunatly it seems like more than I wanted too! Next time I see you it'll be flat out for me over the bumpy far astro section hopefully

from a personal perspective I think that the JConcepts rolux wheels are the best option - they're round and true (unlike Associated ones...) and are cheaper.
I think Associated wheels and proline are the same, just sold under a different name?

Your best bet is to is to use wheels from a Thunder Tiger Phoenix BX. B4 fronts will make the front slightly narrow and B4 rears will make the back really really narrow. So narrow that the tires can bind against the shocks.

I wanted to be able to race my B3 but after struggling to find genuine associated b3 wheels and having to pay 24 bucks for them I decided that she will be a shelf queen now.
