ahh i thought that it was the similer set up to the way the centre unit comes out of the BJ4WE and S4. then you lift the rear Drive shaft up then obviously then the thumb screws come off to relese the cells

definatly lee, personally if theres a problem with a car screaming and smoking and theres a safe way of killing the power by un-pluggin the car via corallys that tool issue cant really be a problem ?
i mean whos gonna try to take burning cells out of a car ?? |

Yeah if a car was about to go pop i wouldnt be trying to pull cells out of it even if its body clips, it would be going in the nearest hedge

I have had confirmation from Mr Worsley on the rule.
It has been reworded if you look at the EB cell list again. It means the cells must be able to be disconnected without tools, i.e. a connector, not removed from the car. G

does anybody think though that moving the drive train will affect the handleing of the car? |

I dont think so, if you think about it you are only moving a spur and slipper unit 5mm either way max, it weighs a lot less than a motor im sure

so i would think that the serpent may have the exact same system, i don't know this from fact, I'm guessing that gerd made the original, and both cars may have the very same system sounds reasonable to me i hope someone from serpent can deny or confirm this .

You can see slotted motor mounting holes on the Serpent so I'm assuming they've done away with the movable spur idea.

Robbiej, in theory/on paper, changing the angle of the centre driveshafts will have a small effect on the drive train - on the torque reaction, and it's general efficiency. However, that effect will be so tiny i'd be fairly confident that no one will be able to notice that difference. The effect is probably a little bigger with those blades on the driveshafts, but it's still small. In fairness, moving the motor would have an effect as well, and i suspect moving the transmission is a smaller change.

i wonder if i could do that to my s4 motor mount where the screws can always stay in the motor, not just the bottom one
