hi all,
just got a 2nd hand Reedy 3300kv motor and an Associated XP SC450BL speedo as a starter brushless system for my old B4. The motor has 3 wires - red yellow black - and the speedo has 3 wires all in blue... silly question - does it matter which connect to which? cheers paul |

Not if there is no sensor wire. If the motor runs backwards just swap 2 of the wires over

Im sure it does matter to an extent. If you look on the motor it should have some inclination of which wire is which. On mine they are labelled A<B<C, the colors of the wire should help. If you connect the center motor wire to the center esc wire then the other 2 should just effect the direction the motor spins in. If its sensored I think you need to get it right though. The speedo wires may be labelled on the speedo too.

As has already been said, only on sensored systems does the wiring order matter...on sensorless like you have you can wire it up any which way, then if it spins backwards to what you want just swap any 2 wires around!
The joys of sensorless!!!
