Default clever little box!

when I first saw this I thought what a load of crap, but there is one moment in the video that changed my mind

http://www.hpieurope.com/show_video....en&videoID=111

I think it might be pretty 'odd' to drive with one, but you can't say this isn't clever!!

I got a 'cheap' version, not a hpi one, and did alittle write up on it that must be kicking around somewhere on my hard drive. It definitely helped in some situations but when I got onto a high grip corner the gyro didn't understand a car could turn so quickly and turned OUT of the corner - pushing me wide.

On a really low traction surface though it was quite fun

would this be any good in a 2wd buggy racing on slippy floor/carpet track, or would the buggy's speed be to fast for the dbox to react

not too fast to react - the one I used was instant. good on the slippy, crap on the carpet I think would be the answer!

I would just like to make clear, that this box *might* not be allowed at BRCA events.

I was just posting the gadget because I thought it was clever.

I wouldn't have thought it would be legal, they banned the sensored gyros ages ago in touring cars, and so they should. Takes away some of the skill of driving if you ask me. There is nothing better than coming out of a corner completly sideways and catching it with a bit of opposite lock yourself

F1 are getting rid of traction control so we definatly shouldn't be allowing stuff like this into racing imho.

Im not sure I can imagine actually driving with one of these, i mean wont you be automatically correcting the slides anyway without thinking about it ?

no mention in any other class
