Hi all,
Whats the deal with the XXX4G+ They are noted for not being so good on the bumpy stuff. Why?

There's a few things about it (this is what I have read, not having had the car myself):
1) The chassis is very stiff indeed. That's not likely to be nice over bumps. 2) The motor is rather far back - in fact, the layout is the same as most modern touring cars. Most 4wd buggies have the motor much further forward - B44, FS2, DEX410, BMax4, TRF 502x, even the relatively similar TRF 511x all have the motor further forward.

I wonder if slightly flexable shock towers would help calm it down. I suppose its famed quickness is partly due the that weight distribution.

i have one and for me the worst part was how low the car sits. because it uses such large pullys that if you keep the cvds level there isn't much ground clearance. if you downside everything really well it's a good car. if you overjump your landings the car get out of shape and bottoms out really easily.

The geometry and suspension arm angle because of the large pulleys ruined that car...
