Barney is the man.

Indoors dont bother with mini pins is my advice, they offer little progression I find, its all or nothing. yellow Mini spikes are easier to drive, they have more progression I find, whilst not ultimately quite as quick.

I actually prefer the pins on the floor too, the car just feels right with pins on for me. Better balanced especially on 2wd, minispikes understeer and make the car really sluggish.

Schumy mini pin yellows. I race on 100% carpet most weeks indoors, spikes work but are loose and makes the car understeer or the rear end will pop out randomly.. i do wish there was a better tyre though.. they wear too fast

yes its the other annoying newbie again

Couple of questions,
1 will schuey wheels fit a bj4?
2 are there any brand of wheel to steer clear from (because they are brittle etc)
3 where do you get the snee blue inserts from as i want to have them built up before sunday morning.
4 i also noticed from last years pics of the durham regional it said the grip was very high so in this case would you go for a mini pin or spike?

cheers all

grip was indeed abundant last year. I honestly don't remember what tyres I ended up on but I'd lean toward worn yellow spikes myself. But I am weak.

Have you had a look on model images website ? theraceplace.co.uk, they might do the foams. I know Glyn Ward has them but I don't see them on his website - perhaps email him.

You need Losi front and either Losi or Associated wheels for the BJ4, Ballistic Buggy fronts fit aswell.

I'm starting on minipins this weekend but I'm taking some spikes with me too...
