Question S2: Noises of transmission

Hello,

I had problems of noise with my transmission box.
I changed all for new parts: gears, axles bearings. nothing to make.
The game of the slipper axle was too important. Maybe the smallest distance (less than a B4 box) between two bearings of the slipper axle is not good for guidance.
Then I decided to cut a part of B4 transmission box and place this part between the plate and S2 transmission box with a bearing.
The guidance of the slipper axle is perfect with this additional part.
Now I must try to validate this modification.
Maybe you have the same problem do you find others solutions?

1st thing is to make sure you don't have a mix of old and new gears, if poss replace all the gears for new ones including the top shaft. The other reason you could be getting some noise could be due to the bearings you are using, if the bearings have play in them, then due to the tight tolerances in the gearbox this maybe the cause, try some high quality bearings.

Salut Junior Z!

I've got the same problem with my S2
I have changed the bearing and the blue plate.
Now it works !!!

NB: The blue plate from my old B4FT is thinner than the actual (from 2008).
