Default Lipo in an S44

Im wondering about going to Lipo. Im wondering if anyone has run Lipo in an S44. and what the ballance was like. and stability of the car. also did you end up adding alot of lead to the back end to keep the rear down?

I love my car atm its helped me a great deal but i do think that i need to make the move over to lipo now

i ran a lipo'd s44 in belgium and the car felt very good. Only added 30g of lead in the rear batt slots and she felt sweeeeet. Running gm saddles i managed to fit all electrics on the chassis too, no speedo shelf needed.
Got freud on here running his the same and he was a very happy chappy...

its just a saddle lipo that sits either side of the shaft mike. didn't need to trim the slipper output either

the only mod to make tham fitis to turn the rear batt posts upsidedown and dremel the beveled edge flat nearest lipo, then put a piece of silicom tube to rest the batt clamp under. Hey presto, 1 lipo s44!!

Mike, as long as you get either the Vampire / Intellect or GM saddle lipos then its very straight forward to get them in the car, we mod'd freuds S44 during the GP to take lipos.

And you could get away with just one pack, as this is all Griff had for the GP and ran this one pack in both 2wd & 4wd without any problems.

modified and ran the car with some 2day. didnt wanna fit with my gtb, was just slightly 2 big still but i created a solution for a couple of races. only problem was i still had my 5.5 in the car and with the lipo it made it a tad bit frisky for me, seen as its nose hardly stayed on the floor.

but im sure its the way forward
