Default Who says don't buy BRITISH.

Well guys the answers in.

I managed to post the 2 sr3100 unit on Saturday about 1pm,
This mean's they wouldn't leave the post office until Monday.

In with the 2 receivers I put a cover note saying what I had dione to try and resolve the problems, i.e changed the cases and aerial's.

This means they wouldn't have got them until Tuesday at the earliest.

Well I got home last night and their sat on the side in the kitchen there was this big brown box !!!!!
I'm thinking to myself

" SH*T I haven't bought anything and had to posted here"

Not that I keep ANYTHING from the misses you understand.

Took a look at the paperwork and to my total surprise Horizon had sent me 2 BRAND NEW SR300 replacement receivers and also
2 new cases and aerial kits to replace the ones I had fitted on the returned unit's.
FREE OF CHARGE

Talk about being chuffed.

As far as i'm concerned guys from the response I have had I will never go away from Spectrum wheel radio's.

The Companies response has been second to none and deserve's to be mentioned here.

If anyone has a problem got in touch with them, I found then to be great help and super fast.

A big well done to HORIZON from me

I am only talking from my experience though.

The SR3500 less fussy, just tucked the aerial in amongst the other wires and it would just keep going. As soon as moved to the SR3100, that would need to go into a tube and hang out the top exactly as per instructions, or it would do as you described at about the same distance.
Mine cuts out at about that distance, do we have any tracks which have 25m+ away from the rostrum?

Also, are you stood on the ground or raised up?

Default have i tried them

No not yet as i'm at work lol,
I'm sure they'll be ok as they are replacements and have probably been tested.
If theres a problem then, i'm sure it will get resolved as quick as before.

I will check of them and get back to you all.
Good point.
