could i have turned off the forward gear because it seems very very slow now ?

I've come into this debate rather late but can I offer this: the Mad Rat speed controllers is a funny little thing. Each and every time you connect the battery you have to set the end points (full forward and full reverse). You have to pull the trigger on the transmitter all the way back (to set forward) and then push it all the way forward (to set reverse). Once you've done that, it's all systems go.

im trying this over and over but still get the same result, i'm sure i must be doing something wrong but i can't work out what

Ok what radio you using mate? Another thing worth doing is spraying the motor out with a electrical solvent cleaner or break cleaner

using everything that came with it, i've got in contact with model sport and they said to send it back under warranty so i guess i can't argue with that
