Exclamation Servo Problem

Hi

I currently have a HI-TEC HS-6965HB servo for the steering in CAT SX.

Got it used, and when building the car tested it and it worked fine. Now its in the car it all appears to work fine until the steering takes a knock/wheels get stuck against something whilst turned/or even if steering really hard with lots of G.

If any of the above happens it sticks in the steered position as its new centre point. Its not the horn loose as i've checked and re-created the problem myself.

Any Ideas? Anyone come accross this before? Is it fixable or dead? No response too obvious as I'm newly back to this after 20 years and the hobby has chnaged a bit.

In terms of unladen performance its fine, quiet, really quick, does not get hot, etc etc....

Thanks in advance for any help

sounds like the servo horn may be skipping round on the teeth of the servo?
