Default What gearing are you running your B44's on at Caldi?

My first run with the B44.1 was at the Hereford "man-flu" BWOC a few weekends ago. Ran 23/81 on a 30 metre straight and felt it was probably a tooth overgeared but was too lazy to change it down to a 22...

Went to Caldi last Friday, still on a 23. Car didnt overheat once all night, felt fine and had more than enough punch to clear all the jumps that were laid out for us (you had to be there to understand the relevance).

Ive just had a look at an old setup sheet of mine from my old B44, running a 6.5L with a 78 spur and I was on an 18 tooth pinion.

What are the rest of the B44 racers at Caldi geared on? And with which motors?

84/20 on a 6.5 - Think that's what I used to run and assuming that's what Gaz has fitted back in it then that's what I'll start with!!

18/78 = 10.83 overall
23/81 = 8.80 overall
20/84 = 10.5 overall..

So I need to be looking around 19/81, or 20/81 at a push.

Last time i was there i ran a 19/78, on a Speed Passion 7.5. This is actually the dame kv as the novak ballistic 8.5, so your ballistic 7.5 is the same as a SP 6.5. Caldicot is VERY tight compared to the BWOC track. I would say 81/20 and go from there.
