They look like Losi springs both front and rear. I have ran Losi springs on my X2C before so know they fit

Yes, he´s a great driver and our Team Captain over here in Germany! If I remember correct, he finished 4th or 5th in 4WD Buggy at the 2003 worlds.

MickB, I will probably never run a rack anything like that, so setup does not apply.
But would like to know what parts he is using in the transmission and anything specific in its setup. thanks |

Hello guys,
I talked to Markus the last two days and he is very happy with the setup of his car. In practise he back to back tested the bigbores and the standart ones and for the finland track the bigbores are better so both X2 cars at the worlds running the bigbores, markus with medium /medium springs and 32,5wt oil. The track is not very hard to drive but you have to push a lot to be fast so mistakes are the main problem for the rest both are using the truck chassis cause its a lot easier to drive. the setup is very special for that track cause they are running a lot of weight in the front that normally on dirt is a no-go but over there it is needed. for the drivetrain I gonna ask him this evening if he is running the kevlar parts into it and the nylon idle... so and now finger crossed for the last qualy and then I think in 4wd he is gonna be more relaxed cause he was not running a lot 2wd in the last few mounts but a lot of 4wd for the truck chassis the number is :125000409 but in germany not available from the factory at the moment, maybe some dealers gonna have some. kind regards Tom

Thanks Tom, sounds like a similar setup I run. For the diff I found the Xray rings last much longer and wont ruin the balls.
Like he said, very easy to drive and push hard. thanks |

@notme
the original rings are to soft I think and so the diffs wear out quite fast so the xray rings are a plug and play or do you have to modify them ? kind regards Tom

They do drop in without modification, however the inside diameter is .22mm bigger then the stock rings. I put a tiny amount of red loctite on the outdrive and centered the ring. The B4 rings also fit, but you need to dremel a tiny bit from the ID of the ring. It it a very fine amount to dremel off, with no worry of getting it out of round. The only problem with the b4 rings is they are around .30mm thinner then stock. I could not get the dif to adjust very well with these rings, so I went with the xrays. If one could find a shim 17x23x.25-.30 then the b4 rings would be good, and less expensive. |

Back on the worlds topic, I see Marcus finished 8th in the E main. That gives him 68th overall out of 160 entries. Not bad for not a lot of time on the car (apparently).
Slightly sorry to see ae win another title, It would be nice to see another brand win (IMO). But driving skills are what wins, not necessarily the brand. |

Hy Guys
@Ben the main problem is that Ansmann Racing was using the 125000409 number ass there "long" XT chassis but in the package you received the short one and the "short" chassis was the long one. now they fixed the number problem and when you order the long you also get this one. problem is that some dealers still have the old ones left and so the mumber for 2 chassis are the same .. only chance is to ask them is the chassis fits the XT cause this is the chassis to go and its 1,5cm longer than the normal TE chassis @notme thanks for that mod ..I give it a try No Markus was not having a lot of time with his 2wd and focused on 4wd so I hope he will do better the next days Endresult for 2wd is 48 so 8the on the E final..on the phone he said ..to much fights with Viktor .. and when you look..also the guys in the E final are some quite fast and well known names ... kind regards Tom
