Jay you could do with some diff grease in there but without running it yet i can't recommend anything as yet, although i would imagine something fairly thin is best so leass than 5000wt

There is none, it's just the low maintenance option for those that don't maintain their cars that don't notice the benefits of a balldiff.

Because they can't build a balldiff, or just don't know any better.

Your just to fussy Jay
Lower maintenance sounds like an advantage to me, and it should be more consistant if it seals well. The losi diff does needs very regular maintenance to keep it tip top, even with decent balls. |

Every diff needs regular maintenance to keep in top top, even a gear diff.

Has anyone run the diff yet?
Built it up with metal gear grease, anyone used diff oil? I have built mine up but need to tighten the screws, what size hex driver...cannot get to the back of the garage to rifle through my stuff ...got a feeling that the screws are imperial.

I was told it was not a proper sealed diff, although quite clearly the number of rubber washers indicate otherwise. Still lighter than a ball diff using the grease.

We have had a 40/60 split of customers wanting to just build the diff "once" and never see it again (thats the 40%) and if that suits them what is wrong with that? Early indications form Losi were that it was not even going to be a sealed unit when it arrived which would have meant grease only but as it turns out they deciedd to make it sealed.
