Hi all,
got a DEX210 from a friend, running at worksop this sunday but realised I havent got any drivers after 10 years out of the sport. What hex drivers should I be using Imperial or Metric? I mean allen key drivers when I say hex drivers, just to stop any confusion. please help asap as i will need to order some. cheers in advance |

Hi,
You'll need metric for the Durango. I think you'll need a .050" for the grub screw in the drive shafts. MiCk B. :-)

you need that .050 for the screws in the shock shafts that hold the pistons in and possibly also the bleed screws in the shocks. |

you'll need the 0.050, 1.5mm, 2mm and the 2.5mm, as well as a 5.5mm nut driver and 7mm nut driver, and to build the diff some circlip pliers

If you go on to DMS Racing and search for MIP 1.3mm hex driver. Thorpe do a really good one that does the job for the screw on the shock pistons and the shock cap. I got one the other day, really pleased with it. Fast delivery too.

I've found the EDS hexdrivers to be great and use some cheaper Dynamite nut drivers. The circlip pliers are essential for building the diff easily IMO.

+1 on the EDS drivers, all my other ones are, just that they don't do a 1.3mm. Could have got the 0.50 imperial I suppose, but the MIP is every bit as good.

I would recommend a ball hex 2.5mm for easier access to the inner camber link pivot balls.

+2 for EDS tools, only just replaced my 2.0mm head after 2 years service !
Arromax look almost as good, perhaps a tad cheaper. I would also recommend a ball head as well in 2.0 + 2.5 mm . The rear shocks screw in the wishbone can be a tad fiddly if you have fat fingers, a ball head would greatly improve accessing this |
