D4 Steering throw?
Noticed a strange thing on my steering, left lock no problems, right lock and it seems to go further than the other wheel. To the point that it will kinda flap around till I pull it back 'within range' ?
Now the other night I set all the linkages as per the build sheet, I got it 2nd hand so I assumed it was built right from the off. Servo is centered within a couple of degrees and dead-on with a little sub-trim after that. So am I missing something? Didnt think it would be THAT much off from the build baselines though. Steering could be tighter at lower speeds and Ive just noticed that chassis length is adjustable on one of the setup sheets. Too long maybe? And do you adjust that anyway?

Set your left to right throw on EPA's and overall throw with your dual rate on your transmitter.

I understand Dual Rate, makes the steering more or less sensitive? But not aware of a setting to do that to one side only and even then its not a sensitivity issue, its more of a balanced throw thing?

What transmitter do you have.
You should set your subtrim so the servo horn is vertical (your steering linkages should now be the same legth as well), then as Kenny has said, on most Tx's you can alter the amount of steering travel independantly (might be called EPA - end point adjuster) for the left and right movement. You want to make sure that you have enough steering to reach both the left and right end points, but don't go beyond. Then as you say, you can alter your dual rates which ajusts both the left and right throw the same amount, either more or less, which effectively makes the steering more sensitive to a point. If you have dual rates I would be surprised if you don't have EPA.

I think you are getting mixed up with exponential.

nope, I understand exponential as well, and that's another potential adjustment he probably has on the Tx as well. I would suggest leaving that at 0% until he gets the basic steering sorted.

Trannys a DX3S Kenny.
One of the guys at the club had a go at setting it up for me and another threw on some decent tyres.....instant new car! I must say though, that this still didnt address the un-even issue I've been having, but I've no doubt it can be sorted out. The car isnt at all 'uneven' when driving if you get me, its just that at full right lock its like my pup with a sore paw! Picked up some rears off Ebay with mini-spikes on and hopefully when my own bits & pieces go ta-ta on Ebay I'll be able to get some other spares etc. Now with the buggy sorted, theres a faint glimmer of a chance of that Axial Exo I fancied.
