Default how much longer is the 2wd SC chassis?

...compared to the standard chassis?

I have a TC02T, and it's awfully twitchy. I put this down to the fact that ST wheelbases are shorter than they used to be. More akin now to the wheelbase of their buggy counterparts, As my truck has the same wheelbase as my Mad Monkey.

So I hit upon the idea of bolting on the SC chassis to give me a bit of extra length. Question is though, how much longer is it? And do they do a longer chassis that isn't for the SC?

So two questions really

Thanks guys

SC Chassis is approx 46mm longet than the ST.
SC chassis is about 10ish mm wider too.
Pretty much all ST bodies will be well short.

SC is the only chassis longer than the ST thats available.

Bloody hell That's quite a bit extra. I had it in my head it would be like an inch or something. Thank you for your knowledge.

X313, My setup is pretty basic as I've not a great deal of time with it (blame the club) Our track is grippy astro. I have Schuey Yellow minispikes on the rear, Team c ribs up the front. Untested though. The yellow staggered ribs I had on caused the thing to hook.

Standard kit springs all round, 32.5wt in the front, 27.5 in the rear. A starting point as, Like I said, I've not had a great deal of time with it. Tamiya O rings in the shocks though as the OE ones were leaking like sobs.

Ali front wishbone mount with brass weight. Rear wing fitted.

That, my friend, is about it. lol

Crazy L, Im with you on the handling issues with this ST. I spent a lot of time trying to calm the rear down on dusty outdoor tracks, and came to the conclusion this chassis would benefit from an extra 6-8mm in length. It would also help with jumping too imo.
I did have an idea to make a custom chassis (ala b4 '11 worlds) but never got around to doing it. I since converted it to an SCT....great truck!!

My current setup is as follows:

Front:

550w oil
1.3mm pistons
Black Core Springs (Big bores on core adaptors)
Mid on tower
Outer on wishbone
shortest link with no spacers

Rear:

400w Oil
Orange Core Springs (Big bores on core adpators)
1.3mm pistons
Mid on tower
Outer on wishbone
Short outer link

58g weight under servo, plus 40 on top. (to stop wheelies more than anything)

Yellow pins with 3 rows cut off (F) 1 row cut off (R)

Ride height not checked, but F&R wishbones well under level.

Car was well sorted on Mid/High grip astro...

Hi guys

Thanks x313 for the set up tips. Just one thing, 500w oil? Sure? Not 500cst?

Hoping to get driving of the thing under my belt this winter now as summer has gone.

If you have any slippery astro set ups, that would be great

cheers

Im going to embark on the extension idea. I have a couple spare chassis to play with so no real loss if it doesnt work out.
