Trevor Yapp RIP
It is with great regret that I have to inform you that Trevor Yapp passed away last Friday, having finally succumbed to lung cancer.
Trevor and his son Darren were active and successful racers in buggies, touring cars and f1s since the 80s and in his later life Trevor ran Chapel Radio Control, the Ferodo club at Chapel en le Frith, Phoenix Raceway and the Macclesfield Model Car Club. He was a valued member of the r/c community and there can't be many racers in the Manchester area who didn't know him. As a shop owner he would always go out of his way to help keep his fellow racers running. The funeral will be held next Wednesday 4th July 10am at Stockport Crematorium.

Very, very sad news. Trev started me out in RC and was always there to help me out when needed.
I only have good memories of Trev. There will be a good turnout of his friends from the RC community at his funeral. Believe me, there were many. RIP

RIP Trev
I didn't know Trevor that well, but he helped me alot when I got back into RC a few years ago. Always gave advice at the Phoenix race track in Stockport. Good guy.

Sad news, raced with Trevor and Darren in the early-mid 90's and he helped me get up and running a decade later when I came back to RC with plenty of good advice and a few stonking deals. A top bloke.
Condolences to Darren and family. |

Sad Day.
I remember Trevor from when I used to race at the old Macc Track, and Chapel Models of course. Saw him a couple of years ago at I think a Roundabout meeting but never got to talk to him. Mind you, that was because half the other racers there did - he was like a returning legend. He'll be missed.

Hi,
My heartfelt condolances go out to all of Trevors family, He will be sadly missed. I knew Trevor for many years as both a customer and hopefully as a friend. I would like to propose that an annual race meeting is held in his honour and a collection made to purchase a trophy to be presented in his name, All subjet to the familys consent of course. Kind regards Steve |

Hi guys, Darren here, amazing turnout yesterday, thanks to everyone who attended. Things were running late so we got ushered off by the funeral director before we had a chance to say thanks to everyone.
RIP dad |
