B44.2 rear end spinning out

Help required

On Friday night racing, the rear end on my B44.2 started slipping out severely when accelerating. The previous week all was running perfectly until i stripped my spur gear, so all that has changed is the new spur gear and obviously slipper settings.

I am guessing this is contributing to the fault ie an imbalance of power between the front and rear end. I think I set the slipper to the manual (2mm from slipper nut to end of shaft). Does this sound like a plausible reason for the rear end issues? What is the best slipper setting to use (2mm or other)?

Car is running foams, which previous week were 'glued' to the track.

Any suggestions/advice would be helpful

Is your slipper slipping? sounds like its too tight after the spur gear swap.

sounds like the car is giving more or all the power too the rear. You can check the slipper by holding the spur still then trying too turn one wheel when holding the opposite wheel still also. Do it for the front wheels then the rear wheels. The slippage should feel the same between both ends.

What is the correct slipper setting for the distance between the end of the shaft and Slipper Nut? The manual states 2mm, which i think is too as you can hardly get the drive cup to fit

You set this on the track anyway it's irrelevant
It will be around 0.5-1.5mm once set
2mm is normally too tight

The manual describes the nut fitting during the build, its only on like that as you are building it.
Even if it is put on 2mm or up against the drive cup the slipper is far too slack and will just slip constantly and eventually melt.

did you use the same spur.? r u you sure. ive done it, thinking ive used he same size spur and found out it was not. if so what size spur n pinion are you using. have you tried to loosen rear diff to send more power to front.
