Lol, love it how all the sheep are getting the ogio bags. Why don't u get a cheaper suitcase, does exactly the same job for half the price and bang some go faster stickers on it. As for those stupid hauler, cheap rubbish with corrigated plastic trays and you lot pay over 100 quid for one lol. I've had my poly butler, and a alloy flight case since the early nineties and are still in good working order.

Thanks everyone for your help and ideas. For the record, I really am not bothered by "pit bling" I just want practical and portable.
I can see why these ogio bags are popular, but I cant see how it is any better than the cheap 'pack n roll' crate that I use at present. I'm looking at switching to a hauler so that all my kit is organised and I don't have to unpack and re-pack every time I race, plus my kit will be neat and tidy at home, keeping the wife happy ![]() Interesting idea with rolling toolboxes, lead me to find this....http://www.powertoolsdirect.com/stan...workshop-21623 but I get the feeling that the drawers may be a bit too shallow to be as practical as a RC hauler (thinking about sticking chargers or shock oil bottles etc in there). I think at this rate, I'll plumb for the team c hauler. It looks like they've just updated the design of the ansmann one... Ansmann... http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kit...4-p-28722.html Team c...http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/212987/?setMobile=-1 Has anyone had either of these? |

I've not had the Annsmann or a Team C haulers so can't comment, I do have the Fastrax Mega Hauler which seems ok t does appear to be weak in a few areas.
If people want to go away from haulers and use something that they can put their own boxes in then why not use something like this; http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/big-...litary-trunks/ Or this; http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/big-...litary-trunks/ More secure than a soft bag! |

As Neil said above.
This is by far the best hauler I've owned and I've had most. It been dragged everywhere for around 18 months now, twice a week and all zips, draws etc working faultless. You get what you pay for I guess..

Bought a sheet of 6mm ply and some small quadrant with glue and pins I made my own custom box with draws for bits n pieces ,compartments for tyres , radio gear and space for two cars.
Easily picked up with the handles each side and has a nice slide in front lid. just a couple of afternoons to build it. No fancy brands or fancy price ! |

I've got an HPI bag which lasted a few months before I broke the plastic pull out handle, (don't lift a the bag with plastic handle use the fabric ones) 1 zip has broke as well, Loading it into the car it caught on the pit table and broke the fastener in half. Just a little too flimsy for my liking.
If you get the Team C i would be interested to know how you get on with it. |

couple of us have the stanley toolbox at our local club and they're great for 1/10 buggies and smaller, but you won't get a 1/8 inside. They're pretty well made and one of the drawers is full of removable yellow stow boxes.
