Lol @ 'the pink kyosho'

On the pitting situation it was a bit tight but the hall is not the biggest and I know the club wanted to make the track as big as possible. There is a second smaller hall that I know they tried to hire for pitting to make the track bigger but unfortunatly its booked up for the next few months. But for next winter no doubt they will get it booked well in advance.

I can see your guys points on the jumps, do you think just using the one of them would work better?

There is a smaller jump that we use on the outdoor track? Don't think it was used today, does the club still have it?

Yeah, the pitting vs track is always going to be a compromise so as I say, we could just all go on a diet . From purely my own point of view, deffo just the one shallower ramp as even if the layout is changed I think that other one is a tad too much (god, I'm starting to sound like a moaning biatch now).

Maybe tone down the second jump then. But on the whole the track was spot on, very well designed, 49 drivers attended todays meeting and i'm sure there will be more at the next one.

Brilliant day today! Really enjoyed it and was very impressed with the track and the use of the available space. Obviously a lot of effort had been put in by BMCC and heard only posative comments about the track. In regards to the jumps being too big, I think maybe they were but would of been fine if they had a down ramp. I think with jumps that big you do need a down ramp otherwise you get cars slapping on the ground causing unpredictable bouncing!

But overall really impressed and thanks to BMCC for a great day. Looking forward to the next one.

WEll i thought the track was good. I had the unlucky pleasure of being able to run both 4wd and 2wd after i broke the 4wd after round 3. For round 4 and the final the 2wd actually felt better around the track than the 4wd. It just seamed to flow more

My only critisium of the track would be that it was dangerious marshelling at point 1 after the wall. quite a few times i had to quickly move out of the way. As also previously said the secound jump did seam a bit wired to land off, maybe it was just a tad to steep. Also i am unsure about the mat being needed after the table top cus it just seamed to lunch you if you did over jump the table top, and it was then also quite dangerious marshelling from point 1 as you were unsure what cars were coming over the table top.

Please don't take these comments as a negative as i did really enjoy the track it's just a few things to think of for next time

First of all - A BIG Well done the the Broxtowe club for putting on a first class event. To say the track was their first 'go' at indoor off road it was very good, if not excellent. #
Puts quite a few more established clubs to shame.

The meeting was well run and the use of space was spot on.

My only niggle would be the 2nd ramp after the hairpin, it could do with being shallower. Another possibility which I mentioned to Alan was to maybe use rolled up carpet underneath the carpet to create a series of jumps (Maybe 2 doubles). Using a flexible piece of wood under the carpet is usually enough to give a good ramp effect. Also it keeps the height of the cars down and puts more emphasis on rythmn.

The crossover was ace. Easy to see through and a challenge to get right and fast. OK the mat afterwards was a bit of a springboard. But you didn't have to jump that far, landing on the downslope of the crossover was much quicker...

TBH: Well impressed with the layout and meeting in general, I'll be back for sure.

I believe the matts after the crossover were Mr Sharps idea Anyways I reckon the track was great apart from the two ramps after the back straight, if they were a shallower angle they would be a lot easier to manage plus the cars will fly further meaning you would probably only need one. Great track though challenging and definatly flowing. Personally I think that sleeping policeman would be better under the carpet to.

Well done guys.
