Default Reventon Pro 1.1 10.5T Setup

Hi All,

I am about to start racing again this weekend, and have everything built and installed.

What ESC setting should I use for 10.5 motor using a Cougar KF2 SE.

Also what gearing should I use, I have 76T spur with 24-27 pinions.

Thanks

Matt

Have you had a look at this thread on set ups?
http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117765

I'm no good on FDRs so can't comment on spurs and pinions, but I found Andys thread useful when programming my rev pro. I use a 13.5t with boost which kicks in after 0.5s of full throttle so gives me good speed on straights.
Think the PC app tells you the settings based on motor turn if you run stock firmware.

also, on the SP website, look at this set up guide for stock1 firmware which enables all the turbo and boost settings

Would the stock1 profile be ok with 10.5t. I am getting back into racing so want something drivable.

stock 1 gives you all your normal settings (for/rev/brake), battery voltage, temp cut out etc but then also enables you to add either boost or turbo

So, DRRS = each increase setting gives more oomph across the range
as does hybrid boost

hybrid boost maximum gives you a turbo effect - car accelerates normally and then at full power it can give you an extra boost - you can programme a delay (i.e. I use a 0.5s delay so that on a straight if I'm at full power, after 0.5s a boost cuts in to give me a bit more top speed)
As I've said, I use a 13.5t and this function is great.

Best bet is to drive one meeting and see how car feels. If it is nice but you are aware of a lack of speed on straight then try the boost maximum.
Enables you to run a tamer, more drivable motor but without holding you back on straight.
PS - in the PC interface, click on "hybrid boost" on screen when running the stock1 firmware and you can select your motor turn and it gives suggested settings

Default Gearing

Thanks for the info, but does anyone have any idea on gearing for a 10.5T, the circuit has quite a long straight but can be very technical infield.
