Ive got a bd7 16 but will be getting a bd8 if I get a bonus at work

Hi Lee do you run your BD7 on carpet? as have been trying one on low to medium grip carpet and cannot get a good set up. The back end of the car looses grip in an almost slow motion fashion. Have tried softening the car and high and low roll centres but have not got a decent set up on low to mid grip carpet, car is great in high grip. Any tips?

Have you tried a stronger front anti roll bar and actually running a higher roll centre at the rear and shortening the camber links all round

Not tried a stronger front arb will have a go but tried everything else coming to the conclusion its for high grip tracks only ( not much chassis roll due to being all low porofile).

Its trial and error there are a few setups that work but its all about
The thing is on the yokomo small changes make a massive difference i also find harder springs can work in low grip as it generates more heat in the tyres quicker

The BD7 & BD8 are both great Touring Cars!

I've had the BD7 13, 14, 15 & 16 & only ever used them on Carpet.

When you talk to fellow Racers, there always seems to be mixed Opinions on which felt Best & Generated the most Grip.............personally, I found my BD7 '16' to be Best Car!

Generally, I ran mine on the Lower Grip Grey Prima Carpet & it seemed to go well & give decent Grip, but I went down a slightly different route on Setup, from the usual you see on Petit, as those are really for the High Grip Black ETS Carpet!

I've since Bought the New BD8 & I have to say, Yokomo have vastly Improved the Car in most areas!

Change the liquid u put on rear tyres for more or less grip and a really hard spring with a 250cst shock oil ive run my bd7 at leam car club and its fine

From or rear spring harder? Need more rear grip.

Does anyone have a good set-up they can share for the BD7 16, for indoors, small, tight and twisty track on prima felt carpet?

I run my bd7 on ets carpet with ally chassis shocks are the slt shorter shocks with blue springs front rear is white springs yellow there hard with carpet addative green spider slime on rear front any good addtive will do and what the club allows shocks r mounted at the lowist point on towers 250cst shock oil short camber links all round i take it ur using soft carpet tyres yes. And rear chassis weights 30g each side turn ur punch down on hand set and make sure the belts are not to lose but not tight or they will snap hope this helps u abit mate

I'm looking to get one, but not sure the difference?

Ideally I'm looking at 2015 or 2016
