Default Rc car for a 6 year old

Looking for something strong for one of my boys to play with.
Dont want to spend a fortune but would prefer a 4x4 off roader.
Thanks

I started building RC cars when I was 10 years old (now 39!). I would recommend starting off with the Tamiya models, they are very easy to build and follow. I recently bought a Tamiya Blackfoot for my 7 year old son and he could pretty much follow the instructions and build it himself, cost wise the Tamiya models are very reasonable too.

I personally build mainly Xray models now, however, I wouldn't dream of giving my son an Xray or Losi to build at 6 years old, these cars are designed for high end racing and their cost reflects this.

Hope this helps
Paul

Hi Paul
Think I miss wrote the post.
I'm looking for a second hand run about.
I've been building since a early age also and I agree a 22 no chance.
I just sold one lol
Looking for something he can bash with.
Cheers leon

losi mini 8ight, built like a brick, my sons 9 and he crashes head on into walls and flips it over lots, rolls it over and over and never breaks anything, just have to hammer the front shock tower straight after so many hard crashes and thats all, very very strong car

Don't bash, Get him a DEX210 RTR and have him racing with you :-)

That's what I did with my Son this year. He loves it.

Hi Leon
No problem, you sound like you have plenty experience, I'm sure you will find a good second hand car in the 'For Sale' section.
Cheers Paul
