Default New 2wd

Looking for a little advice. I've finally got myself back into racing after a bit of time out. I have myself a Losi XXX-4 for 4wd racing, but am looking at getting a 2wd also. We race indoors on carpet at the moment, have a few jumps etc.

Losi 22 looks pretty good as does this new Schumacher Cougar SV2. Any others I should be thinking of before purchasing?

The ansmann x2c is a great car with the necessary upgrades. The kit cost £135 but someone is selling 2 on ebay for £130 for both so you have lots of spares. the x2c is very easy to drive and very forgiving and it was a car that I did not want to get rid of. The 22 is good but I found it hard to setup. The cougar sv2 looks good but I would wait until there is a little feedback on them and the problems with them. Once you have the right setup on the 22 it is on rails.

Hope this helps,

Sam

Thanks for that. Further to this, is the Team Associated Br.1 worth buying?

Durango 2wd is worth looking at!
I would look at what people race at your local club to be honest.
Then you have lots of advice spares setup etc availbale if you need them!

Ask at your local club before you spend any money...

Getting something that you can get good trackside support for is a really good idea to begin with.

B4.1 is a good safe buy, and can be converted to mid motor with few different after market kits, the Centro one being the main CML (associated importers) version...not cheap overall, but great car! Have a good read of the Associated section first...it's not a mass production car so is better going into that knowing what your buying

Default 2wd

22 - fantastic car, well built but difficult to set up
Dex210 - my choice. Reliable, easy to set up.
X2c - nice cheap car but very flimsy.
Sv2 - not driven it but looks awesome.

If it was my money it would be the dex210 or new cougar if I wanted the newbie on the block.

Do yourself a massive favour and get the new Schumacher SV2, the customer service and spares back up are second to none in the UK

And the SV2 can be set up to drive every way from safe and stable to twitchy as you like so it's the car for every track and weather type.

Can't get over how good mine is

The SV2 seems to be the top choice so far. An early Easter present is in store.
