Hi Mole2k.
When you are out and about taking photo's of these wonderful rally cars could you get some of Alastair Fischer in the Irish Fiesta sporting trophy please. My Brother co-drives for him in the british series of the fiesta's.
Cheers Mark

I should see him in kilarney I would imagine, I didnt see any of the fiesta's in Galway earlier this year because we didnt stay on the stages that long. Depending on the situation if I see any of them through i'll take pictures .

Good stuff! what are you using for the remote flash? is it corded or are you using a PW, or...? I bought some cheap ebay slave and it was a bit crap and stopped working rather quickly so I'd like to get something a little more professional and robust some time.

I've got 3 portable flashes that I use for stuff like that. I've got a Canon 550ex, 580ex, and a nixon sb-26 that I use as a slave. The cool thing about the Canon Flashes is that they can wirelessly sync to one another. For that flash shot I used two flashes. One mounted on the camera and one to the left of the camera.

Can you fire the off-camera flashes with the on-camera not firing? can it see around corners? or is it running on infrared or something?

I know the Nikon stuff has similar abilities but I only have an sb800 and sb400 - the Sb400 can fire off the bigger flash but has no controls on it whatsoever so its pretty limiting at the moment. Another sb800 is a lot of money, and I would prefer to buy cheaper flashes (like the older nikon sb28) and control them with a 3rd party device if it's reasonable cost.

Jimmy you could check these out:http://www.gadgetinfinity.com/produc...roductid=16766

on a german DSLR forum they are rated as cheap but working properly.

Two of my latest taken with Canon EOS350D Canon55-250IS and 430EX.

The Canon wireless link system is basically line of sight. If it could should around corners I would be stoked. Yes, the master flash can trigger the slave flash to go off without flashing it's self. The picture of the Kyosho truggy was done with 3 flashes as well. I use the nikon flash simply b/c its works pretty good as a slave unit with plenty of power.

These are supposed to work ace Jimmy, if you want wireless TTL without buying quantums.
I might get some as it'd make life a bit easier for certain shots.

They'll only work with iTTL/eTTL flashes though mate. If you want to use old SB-28's probably best sticking to some normal radio triggers. My mate got some off ebay he said were good, but i got bowens pulsars, which arent cheap but not as much as pocket wizards.
