Default Filling Track Fire Hose

Hi,

I'm looking to fill some firehose to use for a track layout, i've though about sand and gravel, but wanted something a bit lighter.

I saw a post on here from Kev Lee stating that he's uses plastic balls?

What do people recommend?

I haven't tryed it, but thought if you seal both ends, then fit a tyre valve you could fill them with air... Then deflate them for storage. The hose would want to stay straight if you pumped it up loads, but with just a bit of air in you may be able to get the hose to curve and still be "plump". Just an idea...

Doesn't it move around a lot without something heavy in it?

We use gravel in ours, part filled so they are flexible enough, and just keep the lengths to a sensible limit so they can be dragged easily. The weight means they don't move around too much when they get hit.
