Or a 501x. But a plastic car makes sense in 2wd. Carbon fiber
woulds be better but tamiya was thinking budget in mind,
Carbon would jack up the price to $500 and I dont feel like
spending that much on a 2wd. $329 at the hobby shop is reasonable.
That's only $50 more than a FT B4.
I will say the B4 is a good car, but you want something with higher quality you always have to pay more $$$.
I cant beileve the insanity of the durango at the launch of that car. $630 you have to be kidding me.
That's like $80+ more than a top of the line trf kit. Which I know a durango isnt as good as the trf's.
Diff failures were apparent, parts missing in the kits...just craziness. Every tamiya kit ive always bought
just like the AE kits had every part plus some extra screws etc...

Brian, sometimes you really come over as a total muppet dude, to see a Durango up close, is to know it's worth the money

And where were these diff failures? not heard of that one yet.

Seriously. Look at Jimmy's review of the Durango. http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewdurangodex410/ High quality is a severe understatement. I love my 511 but the 410 has top notch build quality.

Ugh, it won't help. He will NEVER get it.

Lets just talk about the TRF 2wd. Not the Durango..

My TRF 201 is on the airplane according to the local hobby shop.
As I just called them. So I did get one on the first batch.
My car is coming from Tamiya USA thu Great Planes Distributors.
Its on the plane leaving California. then it will go to Illinios, then to kentucky where I live.
Maybe someone else can confirm, did Tamiya ship kits out today??

Default 201 wing set

is there much difference between the downforce in the 2 wings in the set?

I tried to put a B4 wing on, however its not on correctly as it hits the gear cover and makes the wing high on one side.

So I gather I will need to stock up on 201 wings

edit.....found my answer.....well partially.....

Quote:
  • Set includes Rounded/Wide and Straight/Narrow type rear wings. (1 each.)
  • Adjustable down force cut line implemented.
  • Can be used with TRF201, DB01, and TRF511 machines.
