What motor / overall ratio are you running with that?
Tried running my xxx BK2 with 4 cell and a 8 turn the other week. Too much voltage drop under load though and the bec kept cutting out every time I accelerated. I'm guessing a rascal would be a similarish weight.

motor is a 19t v2 and gearing is 95 spur and 27 pinion although not sure what internal ratio of the rascal is, if i had a hotter motor lying around id of used that
not sure what your problem is,what speedo are you using ?

Had a play today, swapped back to 40mhz (was running 2.4g) receiver, and that made things a lot better. - Still bogs down and stutters under hrd acceleration but doesnt shut down. -
Dumped after about 3 1/2 minutes. - Cycled the cells and only got 1800 capacity with 4300's so suspect the condition of the cells are a lot to do with it. 6 month old grepow rubbish Speedo is an old Mtroniks.- Seems to be a common problem with Mtroniks running 4 cells. - Have had the same problem in my mardave v12 from a standing start when using old cells.

sounds like a combination of the two then,try some better cells with a different speedo as it should work fine

Great start. I think that Rascal should be a fun electric. I really like the motor mount. I would try to get a 3 to 4000 mah lipo in there if I were you. You will get rid of those pesky low voltage problems. Also see if you can come up with some way to get the receiver away from the ESC and the motor. This will also help to eliminate glitches. I did this same thing to my Havok and My LST 2 and my Jato and my Lauterbacher and..........

rurc, im not the one with the voltage problems,e rascal performs very well and is very nippy considering its only running a 19t on 4 cells but i do admit a lipo would be better
