Default X2C bearing too tight - how to free them up?

I got a used X2C roller, the front/rear hubs's bearing, after i do up the wheels nut. they all feel bit tight and wheels dont spin freely.

the 12mm hex nut look new to me.

So what is the trick to make them spin freely?

Either you have to only do the wheel up enough for it to spin freely without binding, or you need to insert a crush tube between the inner/outer bearings to prevent them binding. I've read on here that using the middle inner 'tube' from an old bearing can be used & is the right length.

I purchased the Team C Alloy 12mm hex set & that fixed the problem without using crush tubes at all.

usually i find the best trick is just to back the wheel nut off a smidge so it's not fully tight.

Another thing to do of course is ensure the bearings are nice & clean.. use a small tub (such as a camera film canister) filled with brake cleaner just above where the bearings lie in the tub to soak the bearings & give them a good shake in the cleaner. Then re-oil them (3-in-1 oil works well if you have not got an alternative) & refit. do this on a regular basis.
