They should be nearly identical. The only difference there might be is that the lupuz will have the latest front chassis plate and rear t piece compared to an 'old' model monkey. This is just a small moulding variation where they have added material around the weak points. No difference in plastics its just a myth.
I don't think the lupuz has the uprated idler gears as standard however the tc02c does. |

i agree with the plastic is a myth thing...
its just evolution if anything.. another example of this is in the first x2c's you had to change the idle gear as they would melt later cars you didn't.

Hi
I believe that the wheelbase on the lupuz is 8mm longer that the mad monkey. My lupuz came with 2 idler gears....the standard one and the uprated type. Hope this helps Anthony |

The Mad Monkey was a good choice.
As has been said, the only difference are the idler gears and the colour of the anodising and body shell. I would recommend upgrading the standard servo to a full metal gear one if you are racing indoors at Mansfield. The standard one won't last a round before it strips it's gears. You'll also need to change the tyres. Hopefully the factory didn't glue the tyres on or you'll need new wheels as well. Scumacher yellow mini pins at the rear and cut staggers or minipins for the front. |
