I beileve those were limited to the technigold motors and that's it.
The technigold's were pretty fast for thier time, I saw a video on youtube of a Porshe 959 with a technigold and it seemed pretty quick in that era. That's when everyone was limited to 1100mah batteries and such, and you could only get 3 mins before the battery completly dumped.

I believe that the Technigold was a 21T motor and doubt Tamiya would have expected anyone to run anything more powerful than that on this esc/rx.
After back then, the Technigold had awsome power! But BMag, we were running 1300/1400 mah nicads back then and had this wonderful invention called gearing that meant more than 5 minutes was easily achieved. |

The downside was the speed, I never did any more laps than you, even if you stopped running after only 3 minutes! It was when we went up to the heady heights of 1700 SCEs when I struggled to last 5 minutes! |

It was C.P.R Unit P-100F that they used in Egress and Avante.
The P-100F can handle down to 17 turn i believe. (Tamiya Dynatech 01R with 0017 rotor). They later released the P-160F that can handle a 13 turn motor (Dynatech 02H). The P-80F was released with the radio "Adspec Sport". |
