Default 2wd Regional Round 2 @ Surrey and Hants RCCC 12th May 2013 ****UPDATED****

SHRCCC BRCA Regional Round Site and Race Information:
Track address is: Samual Cody Sports College, Ballantyne Road, Farnborough, Hampshire GU14 8SN.

Phone number on the day for late arrivals is 07795 260571. Please send a text rather than call

Due to the nature of the site, no access is allowed before 7.00am. The track and pit space are inside a locked compound.

The committee will enter the compound and surrounding paddock pitting area at 7.00am and prepare for general opening at 7.05am. Committee members will be manning the gates to prevent access until the club officials are ready for the venue to accept racers. If you wish to form an que you are more than welcome to do so with your gazebo's and tables/chairs at the track entrance nearest the carpark (by race control).

Pitting will be inside the compound and behind the rostrum on the grass section. There is no pitting allowed from cars or the car park. You will be asked to move if you have set up there. We have enough room for around 40 racers trackside, the rest will be behind the rostrum on the grass. Please be sensible where you place your tables and make room for other racers.

Mains power is available on one side of the compound only, the sports hall wall. Electric will be limited for each spur. 12v’s are fine in the compound, generators must be placed outside and away.

There will a food van from early on, please support them by purchasing lots of lovely meaty items, they also are doing chips for us. Normal selection of cold drinks, Chocolate Bar, Crisps etc etc.

There are male and female toilets complete with showering facilities. So if you have a long journey to us they are ideal to take advantage of for an extrra 20 mins in bed!

Schedule:

6.50am Committee enter track area to set up.
7.00am Trackside open for pitting. Track closed.
7.45am Track open for two Practice rounds in heat order, 4 min heats. If you are a lower grade driver, you'll be in an early heat! Please Marshall after your practice run

REMEMBER, NOT PRE BOOKING, NO PRACTICE.

7.15am Booking in open.
8.15am Booking in closes.
9.15am Track closed, end of open practice.
9.20am Heat List Produced
9.30am Drivers briefing on the track.
9.45am First heat on the line.

If we have 9 heats the qualifying will be finished by around 2.30pm, allowing for a 20 minutes break for lunch and to organise finals.

During this time the track will be closed (unless permission granted by race director) We hope to have all the racing wrapped up by inc trophies at around 5.00pm.

Everything else will be covered at the drivers briefing in the morning after the practice round.

Looking forward to a good day for all, see you all there!

Fed's finally caught up with you then have fun!

As an aside, pitting from your car is OK as long as the car is on the grass pitting AREA... It's only cars in the car park that pitting ISN'T permitted from.

Default Grip on damp track

After the Saturday downpour (which hopefuly the weather man sticks to his reptetaion and gets it WRONG)we will all be on skates.

That means as you said 3 sets of tyres to stay competitive before the rain forecast

With it being wet will you be allowing for pitstops at 2min 30secs marker to allow for a pitstop and tyre change

Can't Wait

Erm, no! Lol

We were chatting today and think with 9 heats, the track might be dry (on the line) for the first round. It's drains well (Tarmac underneath) so once the suns out....

Maybe damp first round proper... 2nd should be dry.... Ish
