Default SEAT crap man

Well my Seat Leon has gone back to the Dealer for the 4th time

I bought it the week of the Taly national and so far its gone back for

rubbing front calliper- tuns out It was just dirty and a stone stuck
Vibrating front wipers- twice for this
Interior lights not coming on- wiped out all the light and the head lights on buzzer
Fuel tank nozzle corroded and unable to put petrol pump nozzle – this was a 2 day job of striping the tank, rear seat, rear arch, rear suspension and breaks to fit
And now again....interior lights not coming on.

now I’ve been fine with all this and there really good in Cardiff in and out in a day. And I love this car and its my first new one- but the bloody jobs worth I had today wouldn’t give me a courtesy car, so I had to walk to work!! what pees me off more is I just rang now and they where unable to check the car over today...and then asked was I ok with the courtesy car I had....what Courtesy car.

so I now have to walk all the way back to the dealer after work to get a courtesy car that I was intituled to in the fist place.

think I might have some words for the nob jockey I spoke to this morning

Those interior lights problems sound an awfully close relation to the work you had done

That's a shame. SEAT in my limited experience have been awesome. Volkswagen reliability with only the Spanish touching the non-important stuff. Generally nicer (sporty) handling then their VW brothers and much cheaper.

I've had my SEAT Ibiza since new (April 2006) and it's not had a single problem. In fact the only think I don't like is how easily the interior marks... kinda funny as that's the only thing the Spanish done So my next car with be VW Scirocco, VW chassis and interior there

Yeh, but it'll only be worth 55p in 7 years

I love White Dove. My Skoda had to go back after 3000 miles as the front tyres had worn through to the canvas on the inside knuckle. The tracking was out by a country mile which apparantly was my fault so I had to pay £250 and the cock jockey behind the counter couldn't even tell me what had been done, I had to ring another garage from my mobile in their reception to find out. Probably the same fat twat that messed you about Chris. Think his name was Tim nice but dim.

Needless to say I will NEVER go to White Dove for anything ever again.

I think this looks like a good deal.

Had a civic, brilliant car, never went wrong but fuel was nuts!

This looks more fun!

I love my Focus ST170. Although it has depreciated by 40% of what I paid for it 18months ago - and even then i thought it was a lot of car for the money. Had one issue of rear brake caliper binding which fixed myself. I only had to take to to Ford once for a recall which they completely messed me about with to the point I won't let them have it back to do it.

Bloody government screwing us over on car tax, goes up to £300 asof March 2009. Plus the price of fuel, I only average 30mpg-ish so it costs a fair wack to run.

So im in a dilemma. Keep it, and it costs me more to run than when i first chose it. Or sell it, and then realise the amount it has depreciated - which will probably cost far more than I will ever save in having a far more economical car.

So if you can afford the running costs - something like a Focus ST170, Civic type R or something else hot and petrol (Post 2001 will be affected by the new tax rules) will have depreciated like a rock now. Which is for a buyer, but if you made the choice 18 months ago (like me).
