Default Motors error?

Turned my Parrot on only to find the dreaded motors error, no crash required just a simple on/off and now it refuses to much of anything!

Checked the two plugs were firmly positioned as stated on the parrot website and I gave that mod where a piece of foam or rubber are held against one of the chips via a cable tie....no luck there either. Had a look at the price of a new board and will probably decide to just cut my losses, so is it better to part it out or sell it as is for spares or repairs?
