hi folks has anyone tried any other type of slipper pads as the nut for my slipper is almost all the way in and the slipper is still turning when i hold the wheel and spur together and rotate the other wheel.
not sure if it is a weak spring or if its a problem with the pads, the kit is brand new and only been ran once at club, where im getting no real on power bite. i tightened the diff right up to check it wasnt diff realted but it seems to be the slipper. do the pads need cleaned before fitting or just fit them right away ive read that guys have tried ae pads. any thoughts please, thanks

Your layshaft spacer may have worn down, http://www.petitrc.com/setup/durango...perSpacerWear/
AE pads will fit too.

What he said ^^^^ the stock spacer in early kits was a bit soft and could wear down. This should be fixed on anything more recent (a harder part is now available).
AE pads drop straight in most of the time, if they don't, it's only a *tiny* *tiny* bit you need to trim off. They are a bit thicker than the stock durango pads. |

no point getting the HT pads if using rw spurs as you need to make the hole almost as big as the normal ones, not sure if the same applies with the stock spur. I just slapped on the AE VTS set up on mine, seems to do the trick quite well with the new hard anodized layshaft spacer.

Thanks for your input
![]() ![]() can the b4.1 vts layshaft,slipper/spur/spring fit onto the 210.(whole assembly) im not a huge fan of the small spring, although obviuosly it does the job. the associated one looks better imo. im also aware that the b4.1 diff fits in also with some shimming, is anyone running that also. probably should have bought a c4.1 but at 95quid you cant knock them back and i like the rango. just need some bite.

to run the VTS, you shave down the hex part of the basket just a tiny bit so it fits in the spur, then drill the outer plate and make a slot to fit the head/pin of the durango long pin. You then drill it just a bit after you hit the shoulder on the plate (I was holding the piece and using a drill press, once it caught and just spun it out of my hands, I needed to go a bit further) then use the stock spring and washers, with the new durango layshaft spacer of course, and you're good to go, and you need to cut the center of the gear cover out, just a bit bigger then the slightly raise section on the stocker. I plan on modding a second gear cover to cover the VTS unit if needed which is unlikely. It looks like the new dex210v2 will have a different tranny, its scheduled to come out in February.

I had to rebuild my diff yesterday and because everything was coming apart, I cleaned the slipper pads with brake cleaner anyway.
I measured the exposed threads outside the adjuster nut before disassembly and when it was back together and I tested it, I had to back it off about 3/4 turn to get the same slipper setting so maybe they just need a clean (my car has only done 2 meetings from new). Also did you compress the spring with pliers when you built the slipper?
