I've been running 5k in mine everywhere, indoor and outdoor
Did try 60wt in loose/wet conditions. Seemed to work well

Has anyone had issues with the diff not sealing properly? I've tightened the screws as per the instructions but it doesn't seem to sit flush with the main gear all the way round.

Whoops, just had another look and I'd over filled it.

Thinking of getting a geared diff. Is it worth getting the steel bevel gears or are the plastic standard ones tough enough?
Never used one before I'll be running it on carpet if that helps. Steve

On anything other than low grip I would get the metal bits for inside the gear diff.
Or back the slipper right off, but then you may have probs with drive |

I would go for the metal parts!

I've just ordered the metal gears as the plastic ones won't last much longer. I do prefer the gear diff to the ball diff diff though. |

How is it with the changes in high grip carpet and low grip slippy floor?
What oil you running? What do you like over the ball diff? how differently does it drive?

if you want to drive the ball diff loose like a gear diff with 2-5k oil in it, the ball diff will slip all the time.
it´s unpossible on carpet to run the ball diff loose the way you run it with the gear diff. |

The change of direction was better but you loose a little on the brakes. If you run light oil then i rollbar would be a good idea as it'll stop the inside rear wheel lifting and reduce the chances of the car diffing out. |
